  • Create a collage of images showing people keeping their promises or write an essay on keeping promises based on assigned number given in class (#1’s create collages, #2’s write an essay). Images from collages may consist of photos from magazines, newspapers, the internet, or original drawings on white copy paper. Essays must be 3-4 paragraphs (introduction, body or bodies, and conclusion. Written in script of typed.)

  2. Have parent letter signed. Due the latest Wednesday, February 12th.
  3. Decide if you want to work individually, in pairs, or in a group of 3. If you will be traveling during the break it is suggested to work individually. 

Tuesday- Finish conducting research on the 3 people chosen. If research is already done, decide on who you would like to complete the final project on. Be ready to let Mrs. Falero know at the beginning of tomorrow’s class. Full research will begin tomorrow on the person chosen.

Wednesday-

  • Elaborate on your 5 facts and research 2 more. 
  • Purchase oak tag poster board for Friday’s class to begin working on the poster in class.

Tuesday- Gallery Walk Photographs Finalize gallery walk worksheet and answer the following questions in the back of your worksheet or in notebook:

  1. Did you notice anything surprising, unusual, absent, or intentionally included?
  2. How does seeing these images influence your feelings about 9/11?
  3. Can you think of recent images that you have seen in the news that had similar emotional power?
  4. Photo 7: What are your responses or reactions to seeing the World Trade Center site being rebuilt? Have you been to the site? If so, share your experiences.

Wednesday- Finalize creative or artistic response to the selected image and complete written reflection. Due on Friday, Sept. 13th.
